Canwell’s 2.4/2.7 Locking Fragment Plating System Distal Radius Volar Locking Plate is a specially designed bone plate used to treat intra-articular and extra-articular fractures of the distal radius, distal radius osteotomy, and distal radius combined with radial shaft fracture.

The plate’s anatomical design is highly matched to the anatomy of the distal radius, fitting the “watershed” of the distal radius of the volar to provide the strongest support for the volar. Additionally, the extra-long design of the plate allows it to be used in cases of distal radius combined with radial shaft fracture.

The oval shape of the shaft and the design of the combined hole make the plate convenient for compression and adjustment. The plate is suitable for 2.4/2.7mm locking screws and 3.5mm locking or cortical bone screws. Multiple K-wire holes at the distal end can be used to determine the position of the bone plate and the distribution of screws.
